I fond the auction, and I cant ell what cobs are used, as there is no information.can u put a link to this light?
COB means Chip on Board. So there a lot of cheap chinese COBs on market! And what COB should that be? Single COB with 200W? Underdriven or Fullblast? Why you think, you can get a efficient lamp for 150$ with 800W? If so, Manufacturer like Cree or Bridgelux are bankrupt!! Why is Cree leading LED manufacturer? Because he is expensive and is not much better than Epistar or other cheap Manufacturer? That is crap. Think about, and then buy your lamp. You will get what you paid for!!I was looking to buy the marshydro LEDs but a few people said to go with the cree or cob LEDs I'm not looking to spend a ton of cash so I found these on eBay let me know if the are better then the marshydroView attachment 3567585
If you don't mind running 60w/sq ft.I have a marshydro 300w 60x5 (140)actual watts $63 free shipping and for a small grow it should be fine
Well that beats the 50w/sq ft rule of thumb, why would one mind?If you don't mind running 60w/sq ft.
As has been stated numerous times: you can beat the 50w/sq ft rule with incandescent lights too. People don't do it because it's inefficient. That's why we keep saying a grower can have the same amount of usable light (and less heat) with fewer watts and the same up-front cost using T5HO or CMH.Well that beats the 50w/sq ft rule of thumb, why would one mind?
im gonna suggest you refrain from giving advice because youve demonstrated that you are without a clue. What do you suggest 1k hps??? LOL
Th other light that seller has is rated at 600 watts. I actually own one and can tell you t draws 178watts.Given that light only has 4 COBs... that would mean each one is runnin at 200 watts each... I am out of the loop on the newest technology right now, but I find it hard to believe that 4 cobs are putting out 800 watts for that price. That unit would completely Crush anything else on the market given the price and stated specifications.
I am running 28 watt sq ft with some Vero 29s seems to be working great.
