adjusting ph

My ph will not stay at the same level. I will check the ph in the morning and it will be 8.0 (green) then I had ph down and let my hydro drip system run for an hour or so and then I check it and it will be 6.0 (yellow). I will check it the following day and its back to green. Does anyone else have this problem? How can I fix it? I am using just water by the way no nutes yet.

Tap water? If so, try distilled or reverse osmosis filtered water. Tap water has lots of pH buffers in it.

yes tap water. The water is very acidic where I live. How much does a filter like that run?

I dunno, I've never gone shopping for one. But you can buy filtered water.

8.0 to 6.0 is a HUGE jump in ph.
Normally I would say your nute ppm is high, but I dont know with that particular tap water.
My tap is rainwater at 6ppm @ ph 6.2
I would try the RO water soon. At least you will learn something from it.

Try letting your water sit overnight before watering.
