so today i went back to my spot and i have four 5 gallon buckets unoccupied. a few of my plants are ready to be transplanted but i have no soil. im only doing this to one plant just to kind of experiment. i put a bunch of local dirt that was somewhat near my site and filled the bucket. its pretty good dirt but its a little bit like clay. what should i put in it so my plant will like it as much as possible? thanks:blsmoke:

Go to Wal Mart and spend five bucks on some expert gro! KEEP SMOKE ALIVE!!

yes, but dont use MG moisture control....i believe it says on the back that its not for a bucket or pot....if MG is the only one they sell try to buy potting soil.....grow them 4 weeks w/ no nutrients and gradually work your nutrient amount from 1/4 strength to full strenth...ex. full strength 1 tablespoon = 1/4 tablespoon....i like to water 1 nutrient mixed watering for every 3 to 4 times i water just to be careful i dont over nute it.... anyone have any objections?

best to give weak solutiomn of nutes soon as first set of real leaves come out after week or so at about 1/8 to 1/4 strenght

Whats wrong with mg soil?:? Look at fdd plants. seems to work just fine for him, and I have used mg soil also, and have never had nute burn. I think ppl are going a little too overboard with this "MG is bad shit". Just to set it straight, if you know what the hell you are doin, then everything should be just fine.

And as far as the original q, I have 6 plants in "local" ground. NO POTTING SOIL. they are doing just fine(with nutes). Also I have a plant i stuck in extremely hard ground with compacted ash on top, It is stunted, but it is still growing. I havent watered the damn thing in a month. lol These plants are not as hard to grow as everyone makes them out to be. Shit ppl, Its a fuckin weed!!! Weeds grow wild, and flourishes. Just keep that in mind and dont overdo anything(nutes, water, etc...)

i agree miracle grow isnt always bad at all, but not the best by any means, but weed is easy to grow its just dealing with animals buds and shit that make it hard

what i did i went to a gas station where they sell mulch and get the one thats not dyed and mix it with the soil at about 40 mulch and 60 soil just keep hand mixing it so its not a full layer of mulcjh and tehy will shoot up and the humidity from the mulch helps the plants turn toward being female u know

i believe MG is bad for startin plants out....mg i believe would be fine after about a couple of weeks but i would def already of watered the mg soil way before i put my plant in it....all im sayin is that ive had bad ex. with mg and starting them out in it....it might of been the bagseed but i blamed it on mg ha oh well....

ive used expert gardener's perfect mix before from walmart and that stuff worked damn good i couldnt really imagine something working that much better but is it worth the 45 minute drive (well at least for me) to go get the foxfarm ocean forest soil? I really gotta get that stuff there is such a hype about it.:blsmoke:

one thing i did and seems not to be affecting them is i got real high ha and picked out most of the lil balls...experimenting is always good...
