Airstones?

Airstones or bubblestones apparently go in a fish tank. But I read somewhere on here the you can use them to supply sufficient O2 to your grow room. Just by placing it under water and allowing it to bubble? I want to know if this works, and how do I set it up to make it work. I don't know anything about aquarium equipment. Also, if it does supply O2, then would it be sufficient to add moisture too?

Connect the airstone to an air pump with 1/8" tubing.
Plug the pump in, and throw the airstone in your res.
Voila more O2

I wouldnt grow without them(airstones) they are an absolute must when growing using most types of hydroponic methods. I agree with Budsworth The more oxygen to your roots the better in my experience

If you go to the dollar store, you can find lots of good shit for O2 supplementation. The one near me has 1/8" tubing, 3 packs or airstone, and 6" air bars, all for a buck a piece. They also sell air tube splitters so you can have 5-7 stone on one pump. I think my whole O2 setup cost me under $10
