i just started dwc plant is 8 days old.
i have a 5 gallon bucket res hooked up to a 5 gallon bucket control connected to a 5 gal bucket dwc in a tent
temps have been in the mid 80a and even though mu buckets are insulated water temps are gettinf knto the high 70s.
im uskng maxi grow calmag and hydroguard but today i looked into my control bucket and the lid popped off from air pressure . when i glanced in i saw brown sandy stuff. i cleaned the bucket with bleah and it all turned white
so i checked my dwc it looked fine jntil i moved my airstone and boom big brown grainy ring under it so i did the same thing. i dont know what to do . ahould i add more hydroguard to combat or should i start using blesch or something. i am not financially able to buy a 100 cooler and revamp the whole system 20200516_204133.jpg20200516_202622.jpg20200516_202607.jpg20200516_202611.jpg20200516_204111.jpg20200516_204117.jpg

My water temps stay around 68* to keep temps low you need to keep light from penetrating the tank, and keep canopy temps on the lower side like 70* to 75* with lights on, mid 80s is high. Max temp they like is roughly 78* I run LED quantum board so its much easier to achieve cooler temps. Although, if you dont have enough bubbles to create circulation, that is also an issue.
