Alternating Nodes in Veg?

I have some 3 week old plants and noticed that they are starting to alternate branch sites, instead of opposing branch sites. The lights are 18 on, 6 off. I thought the staggered branches weren't supposed to start until flowering.

You were wrong. It just means it's mature.

I didn't know a plant could mature that fast, seems like at 3 weeks, she would be equivalent to an 11 year old.

around a month you will start to see pre flowers on heavy indicas, shortly after alternating nodes

It's an indica, I was told Great White Shark. Dont have preflowers yet.

Alternating nodes indicate a healthy growing plant.

I shoved a plant in the corner one time, trying to squeeze too many in, and I noticed that more nodes came up on the right side; which it was stretching to.
