Am I dealing with something serious?

I'm running dwc 5gal bubble buckets and it would appear that I have some kind of insect in my veg room. I have never really had issues with bugs before, however from what I can tell this could possibly be thrips, correct?

How can I go about getting rid of these safely so I begin flowering the next lady in line (1-2 weeks away)?

Spray those fuckers asap, before they get out of control...which they will do very quickly.

What would you recommend that I spray/kill them with? Ideally, I would want to stick with a product which is organic, however, I am willing to get whatever product will save my ladies! Would it have to be safe for roots since I am dealing with DWC and the spray will eventually drip into the roots and res.

any oil/soap combo will fuck them up. look up, they like to hang on cords and near warm areas too as adults. you can safely spray neem/dlimonene/thyme/rosemary/coriander/olive oil. a few drops oil mixed with a few drops soap and water, mist your stones and the pests and surrounding areas, protect your plants from a mix stronger than 3% oil. no harm will come to your reservoir, or spray before change if worried.
are you using organic nutrients?

Mealy bugs or Thirps IMO.

I picked up mealys before from a trip to HD garden center or that brakes plus with the infested lobby plants.

Med strength, Neem 3x a week for 2 weeks. Start immediately! Top and bottom of leaves.

I found an old bottle of pyrethrin concentrate.. would you guys recommend using this verses something less harsh? I haven't taken any action yet.. was going to tonight or tomorrow.

I would start at neem oil personally. Then move into WMDs IMO.

I might head down to the grow store and pick up some neem, I heard that neem wasn't too healthy for humans to be around though, what do you guys think?

"Neem oil is practically non-toxic to birds, mammals, bees and plants. Neem oil is slightly toxic to fish and other aquatic organisms. Azadirachtin, a component of neem oil, is moderately toxic to fish and other aquatic animals. It is important to remember that insects must eat the treated plant to be killed."
