am i using too much electicity?

hey guys i just moved into the loft at my friends house, its a single room apt basically over the garage. Its the summer here so i just bought a 11000 BTU a/c to cool the room since theres no A/C where i live. It uses 1350 watts, and then on top of that in my room i have a 150 watt hps. is this suspicious?

A good rule of thumb i have heard.
Is 1 1000watt per bedroom in the house.
4 bedrooms 4000 watts etc.

well im using the 1350 watt AC, with a 150 watt hps, along with my computer and some games (i try to keep them off) all in one room 20'x20'. You really think this is chill?
I figured since its summer time, its almost common sense people are going to be using A/C's.

well think about it like this....if you were not growing would you be afraid of the power bill??? probably not, plus i doubt you run the ac 24 hours a day
