Amateur grower, possible hydro store biz owner?

Hi guys, gals, and other!
Second post here. Not sure if this is the best place to post this question, but it doesn't much fit anywhere. I'm an indoor farmer, and I noticed my side of town doesn't have a hydro store, and the nearest one is pretty difficult to work with. I'm thinking of starting my own. I've worked retail in the past, but have been in the restaurant industry for the last decade.
What I'm wondering is: are there any hydroponics store employees or owners who can tell me if this is a crazy idea? Any suggestions, or things you found surprising?
Recreational is likely to pass in this state soon, currently we only have medical.
Thanks for your time!

Valid points. I hadn't really thought of it that way, but you could be right. My thinking was was a lot of small growers (myself included) prefer to buy discretely with cash. The idea of having gallons of nutes, cloners, etc. delivered to a grow freaks me out. Also I'm forced to go to a hydro store regardless of what I buy online, because I pick up co2, and sometimes need stuff that is time-sensitive. I may be an outlier, though.
