Another week of advanced nutrients big bud?(pics included)

I have not run Shiva Skunk, but I have found myself in the same situation.. Run Big Bud longer or start OD?... Your buds dont look shabby and they still have 3 weeks to pack on size and weight. Some times I run Big Bud an extra week and only run Overdrive for a week or week and a half. However, I dont like running Overdrive past week 7 and I dont like running it longer than 2 weeks. I would keep at least half of week 7 and 8 for flushing.

What is your light set up?

It also looks like you have some yellowing and some leaf cupping. I would add some cal mag in your feed. It doesnt look like they are burning, but its hard to tell because your HPS lights make everything discolored.

Hey budbuddysmile thanks yeah I've started the cal mag in my feed I've went ahead and gave them another week of the big bud well will be a week on Tuesday. I'm using a 600w hps just last night my light my light fell on my plants seem to be doing ok though. I was planning on using the final phase from advanced nutrients for a week for the flush at the end so would you recommend just using the over drive for week and a half or just one week and give a 2 week flush with water instead of the final phase? Thanks

I would run final phase on the first flush. The way I run it is... water in final Phase and let it sit for about 6 hours... so like 2 hours before my lights go out, I come back with plain water and flush heavy. From there I usually just continue to flush with water going forward. Final Phase is used to make nutrients impossible for the plant to uptake. Its empty chelates. One nice watering and flush usually does the trick. Maybe for good measure hit it one more time mid way through flush, but I don't think its necessary to flush with it every time. Its not very expensive and Im sure it doesnt hurt anything, but hey, a dolla saved, is a dolla earned.

You need to keep in mind, how long your genetics want to grow. If its an 8 week strain, it usually doesnt benefit you to go an extra week. Of coarse it can be done but , I have rarely been happy with my results when I have tried to run genetics longer than they want to go. Sometimes you just have to work with what you have, learn from it, and move on to the next crop. No matter what, for flavor and quality purpose, I would leave at least your last week for Flush of some sort. I dont like giving it any fertilizers. Maybe some carbs or zym early in flush, but I always taste best results when I finish up with a few good water only flushes.
