Any one running 8” xxxl magnum 1k hoods? What’s your hang height

I can’t seem to lower my hood past 3” (36”) with out heat stress how the heck do people lower them 1-2” away with no issues?

I run 2- 8" xxxl hoods 1k each on a 4x8 footprint. Minimum distance 18"-24". With 8" vortex 739 cfm fan. Works fine as long as I don't overfeed.

So 3” from glass to canopy my temps are 82-83 ambient room temps are 72-75 out a small thermometer sitting on top of one plant it’s 80-83 I’m not running c02 is this ok for flower? Rh hovering 40-45

The one on the left touched the glass before I raised it. My RH is about 10ish and my ambient temps in the summer can get to 105. I'm about 86ish today. I'm at 8 weeks and it's a seed run (Bodhi Blueberry Hashplant F2). I run a Max Can fan 863 CFM. Hth

I wanna start running this hood as I’m only getting 5-6 inches of good bud even with swazzing everything below that is bullshit I heard 1000w Hortilux has crazy penitration
