what are you planning on growing this year, anything good?

my strawberry plants that did nothing last year are coming up nicely in their pots and have been growing for about 3 weeks now, can't wait to see if they do any better than the let down last year.

let's hear about what you're gonna grow this year, pix are always a plus as well.. i need some motivation to get out back and get things growing.. :D

Ive already planted a BUNCH of stuff indoors, mainly heirloom tomatoes and peppers, but also lettuce, basil, cilantro, nasturtium....

I also got in a few rows of direct seeded Bok Choi, and its poking up now..

My strawberries look good as well, and apple trees and pear trees are looking GREAT.

I plan to spray the buds down with seaweed/horsetail/humic acid tea before they open.

This Sunday I plan to start really sowing TONS of greens for baby salad mixes, and also beets and carrots.

already have plenty of the early season crops going.



and that's just the GH. have peas and strawberries and onions and potatoes and herbs going outside of the GH, with carrots, beets and a massive flower bed just starting to poke out of the ground.

i'm headed out to the GH today to sow some later season seeds: sunflowers, cucumbers, pumpkins, maybe even some corn. gonna sow into dixie cups and keep them in the GH until the first warm day in may so that i have a head start on everyone.

I've got my bed all tilled and ready to go. It's only 4x8 but I'll grow Hot Lemon Peppers, Cauliflower, Rainbow Chard, German Johnson Tomatoes, Early Jalapeno's, Green and Colored Bell Peppers, as well as Green and Wax Beans. All ready to be transplanted this week. I also have some different herbs and lettuces that will go in rectangular planters and I have some upside down planters for Cherry Tomatoes and Celebrity Tomatoes. The Hot Lemon Peppers are going to be made into my own hot sauce this summer. Can't wait. I'll probably end up planting the hot peppers in 3 gal nursery containers to give the Heirloom tomatoes room to spread.

First time growing vegetables, but just tomatoes and peppers started inside. I hope to put them outside in a week or so. Tomatoes: Black Krim, Black Cherry, Hillbilly, Brandywine, Black Sea Man, Early Girl; peppers: Sweet Banana, Peruvian White Lightning Habanero.

i usually grow tomatoes, banana peppers, zuchinni, bell peppers, got the strawberries going from last year, got a blackberry bush in the yard as well that the dog enjoys, umm, cabbage, last year i did a few canteloupes that were yummy..

i always do great with the banana peppers every year.. and usually make salsa with some of the matt'ers... :D

Im still dreaming of even being able to see my garden.
I started some tomatoes inside, nothing else yet.

We always do potatoes, onions, carrots, green peppers, corn,
tomatoes amongst other stuff

allot of the snow, but it will be at least
May long weekend before I can get in there.

This time last year the potatoes were in and all
of the spring yard work was done.

yeah potatoes can handle the colder weather, kind of like some beans can ..

I'm working on getting my whole garden planted. Cukes and tomatoes from seed are in and doing great. Corn is planted. I picked up a grip of plants at the nursery, but they came 2-3 to a pot and had a lot of root tangle, so I moved them to separate pots to recover a bit and will put them in the ground in a week or two.

Really looking forward to this summer.

Huevos rancheros for the win!

I'll post some pictures of what I got going for spring. Been harvesting all my greens almost everyday for the past week & got all my summer starters going as well.

Ive started all my seeds inside already and usually would have had them out by now but we have still been getting alot of overnight frosts here. I think we are finally done with the frosts but now its raining today. Need to get them out soon tho. Might plant some flowers that my kids started from seed if the rain breaks.
