Aquarium Planted Tank LED For Growing w33d :D

Hello guys!
i have an LED light from my aquarium planted tank

do you guys think its possible to use it to grow weed ?
is it possible to grow autoflower ?

Here is the spec for my LED

it says 5800lm 39w around 8000k color temp

Unfortunately, it's not really suited for growing plants. It might be ok for a seedling light but not much else.

Hey man! I too use some of my old planted fish tank lights for stuff. And yeah it can grow you bud but.. worth your time start to finish? Idk…. I used a 15 watt Finnex lamp and got about 15 grams of some mids (was random bag seed and not a lot of grow knowledge) I’ll search a pic It was for sure some larfy, fluffy type.

Im currently using them again but for seedlings and a potential mother.. maybe.

So yeah. The spectrum is rated for plants (obviously, lol) but does it have the output and wattage to grow some nice? Probably not worth your time unless you’re in a micro situation

Was grown in a 2.2L pot. Random MG soil mix. No ferts Just water and 15 watts of light. I think it got 55watts at the very end cause I was setting up my tent finally and have a 36” fish tank light too LED of course

Probably chopped it down a little early?
I’m still pretty new at this lol

I told him not to use LED for aquarium, it's better for him to use 200watt flood lights with 3000k color temp.

Damn it. Brought a dead thread back to life…

I used to have dual 250 watt hps and they were great
Sadly no longer

@Herb & Suds you think led has taken the W these days? Compared to HID and HPS etc
