Are crickets harmful?

Lately I've been noticing crickets in my flower room, my main concern at the moment is how they got there because a crack would have to be kinda decent sized in my grow tent for them to fit, but really what I just want to know is will crickets in any way harm your plants?

All crickets are omnivorous, so yes, they can/will wreak havoc on said plants.

More dangerous to seedlings, but they will eat them, yes.
Crickets, Grasshoppers, Locusts, not good, aren't they all kinda related?

What about those big , shinny black crickets?
I see big ones near the end of summer but they're always on the ground and don't seem to cause any troubles.
My old tarantula loved them.

Sounds to be a typical field cricket, based on the black shiny bigger ones - assuming you're in the United States, that is.

I think you're right - field cricket.
Yes I'm in the states.
I never saw these crickets attacking my outdoor garden but still are omnivorous as stated.

The field and mole crickets are 2 of the nastiest that exist in terms of outdoor gardens.. mole is easier to fix though, if you have a mole cricket infestation or suspect you do, go a few tsp of dish washing liquid to a gallon of water, and water your plants with that after you pre-soak the ground a bit.. mole crickets will drown and float to the top. They do damage like root aphids, as I'm sure you can guess.
