Are these bulbs ok???

I bought these bulbs today. I have a dual 2-footer that I will be putting two 6500's in, and I will be putting these other 6 around it. Right now I am vegin 3 babies that are about 2 inches tall. My plan is to slowly build my cfl's so that I can veg with them, and I will be buying either a 150 or a 400 hps when I flower.
What you guys think?

the tube will be fine....but the cfl's are the wrong color spectrum for veg. the ones you bought are probably 2700k......they do make the 26w daylight cfls and i know they sell them in a twin pack at wal-mart for like $8 bucks
 
I vegged using two of them T12's plant/aquarium and two T5's blue..excellent..I've even started flower using the T12 and T5 red.. till my HPS arrives in two weeks.. they'll do fine for you..with the cfl side light even better....Luck.
Some say warm = red...or cool = blue..
 
cool man, thanks alot for the info, I will be taking them back tomorrow and switching them out.
For 3 plants, will that be enough light for the veg phase....its 3 plants
 
My 1st inside I vegged two plants to 12" under 2 X 26W cfl's on a Y splitter...... keep bulb about 3/4" -1.5" away........ the plant in my av actually...
 
go with the 400 watt for flowering I bougt a 150 in 12/08 and looking for a digital 400 now you will want to move up once you realize those 3 have over grown the light coverage . I had to bend a couple of my buds to keepem even across the canopy.and lower buds are not getting the light . a 400 will penetrate too lower buds. here's what my 3 looked like in a 21"x21" closet 2 weeks ago. just trying to give you a visual of a 150 in action. good luck with your choice.

It is a closet grow, its about 4x5, hopefully I will get at least one female, its bagseed. I am trying to understand growing better before I buy some good fem seeds. Hey twistyman, where did you find those splitters? I went to lowes today and dude that worked there said they did not have any. Does wal-mart carry them?
 
wal mart doesn't carry them either, i've looked...the only place i found them was ACE Hardware.....maybe twistyman knows of another place
 
here's a couple of 2 week old pics 3 girls under a 150 hps. closet 21"x21".I'm looking at getting a 400 now. my wife is a lil upset cause I just bought the 150 in December. wish I would have gotten the 400.well at least the 150 will be a good side light. I also threw in a pic of my veg lights to help you .Its been working for me so for.

is that a box fan casing you are using for the cfl reflector???
 
I hear ya man, I think I will end up going with the 400 instead of the 150 so I will have it for when I need it.
 
yea my box fan died and i needed to do something better with my cfl's. they were side by side on back wall I felt i was wasting light and space .
