You add the nutes into the water. but dont mix the nutes first, add them as they are needed to the water. that is in a hydro system. I dunno about soil.
Yeah mix in water, feed every 4 - 5 days
depending on how your plant responds to them they could need more. Usually people end up giving too much and get nute burn.
