Avatar change = identity loss

Ever notice that you remeber someone or think of someone based on their avatar...and when it changes the way you think of that person changes...
 
It's a big identifier for me.

I'm very visual and connect the name to the avatar...

I never understood your old one.

I like the joker!

I like to change my profile pic all the time and keep my avatar the same unless I find something truly epic!

i get real confused when someone changes their avatar. if they post a lot i might notice them by name but it's usually the avatar and sig that i use to identify people. sometimes i'll read a requote that someone posted and notice the name, and then i go back through the thread because i didn't realize that person had posted anything. my avatar pic is almost 4 years old and that bong broke 6 months ago. i'm not getting a new avatar.
 
hey!! i know this may be a little off topic, but check it... i started this account about 3 years ago, and i was on the keeping-the-same-name-on-every-account kick, and i am way over that. is there any freaking way i can change my name without loosing my post count??

YES!! i identify people by there avatar, and when they change it i forget who they are, i guess its the dumb-ass in me that should look at peoples names instead of their pics.
 
Can anyone even see my avatar? or am I retarded? I cant find the avatar section in my profile, just the user pic. Is there a car? lol.
