Beginners; Normal or Burnt?

Hello to all,

We are in the third week of flowering. We did some LST traning using weights and gardening string. For the most part she looks healthy:


What is concerning us is what looks like burns on a couple of the "?fanleaves":


I have read these leaves will eventually start dying because they provide the nuts to the colas, but it kind of looks like a nutrient burn (at least in comparison to some pics online). Either way I assumed these leaves would die a little further in the process, not now.

So, the question:
Is this normal for this stage? If not, what can be done to get her healthy again?

BTW;
We have been using a mix of HESI Fosfor Plus and Bloom Complex since we started flowing.
We water or feed every two days; rotating between the two
We spray rain water on the plane each day
HP levels are constant around 6.7
Light regiment is 12/12

Not too sure what else information is needed. Any suggestion?

you need some calcium brother!!
I get this consistently in the 2nd week of flower..because the plant has gone through all the calcium and magnesium in the soil and starts showing it on the leaves...
I would add Epsom and a calcium supplement to her diet....one weekly feeding of said minerals halted the problem completely for me...

Dont believe that crap about the fan leaves dying...if they are dying or if you have spots and or yellowing...
there is something wrong...and you should give it attention.
All the real growers on here have monster pics of plants on the day of harvest....and every fan leaf is lush and beautiful..

I fell victim to the whole 'normal yellowing' theory and it was bullshit... the plant that I lost all the leaves took about 14 weeks to flower...and it wasnt very potent...
Don't let those leaves die!! If you add the right nutrients to your schedule....they will be alive and well providing sun energy to all the nuggets on your lady till you go to chop her!

Yep, looks like a calcium deficiency. The "normal" yellowing of leaves comes in the last couple of weeks of flowering. When you are almost finished.

What althor said is correct, you should be getting yellowing of leaves towards the end of flowering.
For calcium def i would add some cal mag to your mix.

Thanks this covers just about everything! What is meant by "late development"? It mentions this under the section discussing how to resolve calcium problems. Our problems looks like what he refers to as late development. Therefore, we need to flush the soil?

Not sure it should tell you how to remedy the problem as well.

You only get yellowing leaves if you arent feeding like you are suppose to...most strains stay green till harvest...

Flushing may be good for her... but feeding it calcium will help the calcium deficiency!!
You're too early in flower not to give it the calcium it wants...if it were week 8 of flower..I would say just flush... but on week 2 or 3...FEED IT!! IT'S HUUUUUNGRY!!!
give her calcium and then flush at your normally scheduled flush time...

I can not tell, for sure....
It looks like that is the bottom leaf where you LST it to side...
Could that leaf have just been in contact with the soil?
That is what it looks like to me...
If that was in contact with the soil, you will always get that look late in leaf life...
I also get that when I excessively 'touch' plant...

That is a possibility We actually put some more soil on the top right before this happened. Some of it did end up on the leaves close the where we did LST. I put some organic calcium it it yesterday. Hopefully this does not hurt her. Guess we will just keep an eye on her an hope for the best. Thanks for the reply.

We started giving her calcium last night. Found a thread on how to make nearly pure calcium powder from egg shells. You mentioned to "flush at you normally scheduled flush time".....
Thanks for mentioning that. I was under the impression that flushing a plant was only done if there were problems with her growth. Gave me something to research. From what I understand flushing the plant makes for a cleaner smoke, more natural flavor, and healthier product, but, not all growers agree. When do you usually schedule your plant's flush?

I have done both ways, flushing and not flushing, and to be completely honest I couldn't tell much difference. But, because I couldn't tell much difference, I flush. I would rather be safe than sorry and it certainly doesn't hurt the plant to flush it the last week before cutting.

That isnt true, all strains when flushed at the end fade, it is a normal thing, i think you should do some more research
