I want to upgrade to 600w hid with 6" ventilation.

Anyone have any opinions on what is the best and quietest brand of 6" inline fan?

Best brand of carbon filter?

Best sealed air cooled hood... I like the OG hoods but they are too big for my tent.

Most effective silencer?

S & P TD-150 (6-inch 20 decible Fan)

Best website I could find to Buy from http://www.ventingdirect.com/soler-and-palau-td-150-6-150mm-inline-mixed-flow-duct-fan/p934768

Use Coupon Code 3Perks for 3% off.

Bump on the Carbon Filter, anyone have info on some good ones to use with this fan and a 6-inch Radiant Hood?

Oh, worth mentioning that S n P rates their fans CFM assuming some Static Head on the outflow side. Compared to other manufacturers that rate in CFM with no static head on the outlet.

Point being that the TD-150 is rated at 333 CFM, but probably will push more air than a Vortex or Sunleaves. Being a Mixed Flow fan, they are made to overcome pressure loss due to Ducting. Basically it's the best of both Axial and Centrif. technology.

I use a Phat filter 6" x 24" 500cfm, right now I haven't found a place for my tent, but in my closet it makes it smell AMAZING, one of my plants is already producing a beautiful aroma. The filter takes that away and more!

Active air is a cheap chinese fan... They work ok though... the original Can filters Rock so do there fans all rated at all static pressures I use a 12 inch can maxfan ...vortex also is good
but even the chinese ones will work ok

The canmax fans kick ass on the cheap chinese crap mentioned above for quiet and flow great....exept there 12 inch high powered..noisy but bad ass
ballasts buy name brand so you dont burn the place down

Any one have thoughts on the best air cooled hood for around $120ish? Im looking at the Hydrofarm Radiant even though I would have to get a the adapter which is another $10. I also like the Blockbuster but dont know if I wanna shell out $170 for it.....The Blazer also seems legit even though there arent many reviews on it yet and it is more rectangle than square.

Is it better to have a hood thats dimensions are the exact size of your grow space?? Or a little bigger or smaller? right now I'm in a 5x2x8 closet that eventually will probably be a 3x3 tent so preferably I want something that will work for both.
