Best lighting for a 2x4 tent

IMG_3629.JPG why is Mars your only led choice? They have an extremely bad reputation for quality and lack of customer service

Also their lights are only red and blue (although they have new lights with some white). Look up the spectrum that hps emits and the excellent results over decades., then ask yourself why would mars (or any company making red/blue lights) not follow hps' lead with similar spectrum (warm white) but with leds?

The answer is: white diodes were not readily available in the early days, so they made up pseudo-science to sell crap to knowledgeable growers (like myself 4 years ago) for growing cannabis. Buyer beware

I just bought a Amare Technologies Pro 3 to cover 2 x 4

If those are the only 2 options, I would say HPS. I have not used a mars hydro but my skepticism toward them being good for growing is huge. On Amazon they list a coverage of 1.5x1.5 for bloom....so for 8sq feet you'd want at least 3....and then you're pulling just as much juice as 400w HPS (mars hydro is listed @ 132watts actual).

I would suggest LED but you're going to want something better. COB lights seem to be doing great things. Personally I went with the Growmau5 kit from cutter electronics for my 2x4 tent. The Amare shown above looks awesome as well!
