Best Seedling Start Medium for Drip System?

I plan on using a drip system for my first grow. I am currently doing my research, but am not clear on what is best for a Noob on what medium type is best when starting out from seed then to a a drip?

Rock Wool/Hydroton or Soil-less medium starting out? Keep in mind, this is my first grow.

I would go rockwool. Just make sure you don't overwater
