Best way to kill male plants? I need help

The title says it all. I have never killed a marijuana plant before (not even a male) and now I am faced with a tough choice: I have two pretty cool marijuana plants growing in party cups, the only problem is they are both male. One smells super strong but at the end of the day he is still male. Should I kill them? Or should I banish them forever? If I decide to kill, what is the best way to kill them? (either humanely or not, doesn't matter)

If so, should I try to make some cannabutter out of the trim / leaves?

yeah cut em down. i trim all my branches off and cut the leaves off at the end of the stem and save them, then when everything is salvaged i just chop the main part off..i've got some leaves drying now to make hash..takes a lot of leaves though since the THC content is really really low on male plants. there is a good method to do it in the FAQ section.

Growing a male out is a good learning experience. You can witness the entire growth process of the plant. Segregate it unless you want seeds.

My favorite elimination method is the compost bin.

Sometimes I will harvest and dry green leaves to save for cannabis tea.

First off, thanks for the advice. :D

I just wanted to add that I have two FEMALE plants that are big and in full flower, as well as at least 8 unsexed plants. It will be quite awhile before any harvest.

Question: When making hash, is it better to use fresh leaves or dry them out first?

Thanks Johnny. Any links to where I could get info on making cannabis tea?

There several threads, but it's very simple. Heat your water to boiling. Add dried leaves and sugar, I prefer turbinado, to a steeping container. I use a 1-quart Pyrex measuring cup. Pour the boiling water into the container and let steep as long as possible, 5-10 minutes. Strain the leaves out. Pour over ice or drink hot.

Use quantity of water, dried leaves, and sugar to your taste. The heat will adhere the THC to the sugar. It tastes good and will knock you out at bedtime.

I'm not sure about those white spots, try checking the Marijuana Plant Problems section of the forums. :-)

I had a male growing outside a few years ago. It was by itself and posed no threat to my other plants so I let it grow pretty tall. I didnt need it for seeds so one day I got really fucked up and blew the shit out of it with a 12 gauge shotgun. I gathered what was left and made tea out of it. It was a great stress reliever.

bet that must of been sweet...... then again tax ans do that kinda shit all the time, blowing their pistols in the air etc.

still, would love to shoot a 12 gauge.

i personally would just snap the stem, rip the roots up etc so it is dead and not growing any more, then just put it in the garden bin.
