Typically 99.95% Instrument grade, which we redistill to 99.998% with regard to molecules longer than C-4 before extracting with it..

Note that the evaporation temperature is not the only parameter that influences on evaporation of the propane butane mixture. Evaporation requires heat and if the heat transferred to the liquid gas is limited - the liquid cools down and the evaporation is reduced.
 
Controlling the temperature of your solvent and the sample matrix are essential as well as the pressure applied and how much back pressure created by the density of the sample matrix, as solvent carrying oils does more work creating a cascade effect, dictating the length and girth of tube. Mixing propane and butane will always create isobutane/methylpropane, the ratio of the blend determines pressure only when above the boiling point. Holding solvents in vessels in liquid form cooled by chemical bath, then powering them through the sample matrix with nitrogen for best results.
