Big Bang Theory?

So basic questions first. Were gonna discuss the big bang theory and people that read this thread will hopefully learn from it. Anyway I know nothing about it since I believe the world was created by god so dont expect my questions to be intelligent.
So let's begin with does the big bang theory suggest that only our galaxy was created by it and that there was space before it? how was the big bang created? If there was nothing before the big bang how did it even come about?

why if God created the world, he couldnt cause or create the big bang. Do not put LIMITS on your GOD ! hes capable of anything ! he also made aliens too.

Yeah I know I'm just curious. Even if god created time and not specifically earth itself it would be cool to know how the big bang happened. Maybe god new how everything would happen (big bang, first humans, caveman, dinosaurs, population growth, advancements in technology etc...) if he just pushed everything in motion.

You are trying to discuss a very wide field of theoretical physics and varying theories.

The Big Bang conclusion is the result of discovering the fact that galaxies in the universe are moving away from each other when gravity should be bringing them together. So there must be another force at work that is stronger than gravity. Reverse time and what you have is everything in the universe at one time being the same point. Singularity.

Nobody has come up with a more viable conclusion when we reverse time other to say some old guy worked in his garden for 6 days and pulled an Adam out of his hat.

As far as Galaxy, no. We live in the Milky Way galaxy, one of 100's of Billions of galaxies in our universe that according to the Big Ban were all created in the big bang. The theory claims that there was no space prior to this. The bang created the space during the explosion as if blowing up a balloon and that balloon continues to 'inflate'.

How did it come about? That is the mystery. If the Religion Crowd would learn to except some of the science regarding the creation of the Universe, maybe they would learn to give God a little more credit than being a Magician. It's a lot more amazing than Genesis seems to make it which is understandable. Genesis was written a long time ago by someone with caveman's comprehension of the Universe. There is much more relevant information out there for those who seek it.

Well scientist are currently Looking at dark energy so check it out, maybe this is the forece ur talking about.
In the early 1990's, one thing was fairly certain about the expansion of the Universe. It might have enough energy density to stop its expansion and recollapse, it might have so little energy density that it would never stop expanding, but gravity was certain to slow the expansion as time went on. Granted, the slowing had not been observed, but, theoretically, the Universe had to slow. The Universe is full of matter and the attractive force of gravity pulls all matter together. Then came 1998 and the Hubble Space Telescope (HST) observations of very distant supernovae that showed that, a long time ago, the Universe was actually expanding more slowly than it is today. So the expansion of the Universe has not been slowing due to gravity, as everyone thought, it has been accelerating. No one expected this, no one knew how to explain it. But something was causing it.
Eventually theorists came up with three sorts of explanations. Maybe it was a result of a long-discarded version of Einstein's theory of gravity, one that contained what was called a "cosmological constant." Maybe there was some strange kind of energy-fluid that filled space. Maybe there is something wrong with Einstein's theory of gravity and a new theory could include some kind of field that creates this cosmic acceleration. Theorists still don't know what the correct explanation is, but they have given the solution a name. It is called dark energy.

The Big Bang claims that our universe, being the size of a grain of sand 17.5 billions years ago, expanded into something the size of what our universe is currently.

A common misconception is that the big bang was a massive explosion. It was more of an expantion than an explosion (kinda like when you blow up a balloon).

Of course there is way more to it then what I have said. I'm just to lazy to try any harder.


You are presenting one of the most common misconceptions about The Big Bang. The Big Bang does NOT claim the universe came from nothing. It claims that the univerese expanded from a very small infinitesimally particle.

Causing what? A Really Big Bang!!!!

That is one theory but it doesn't explain why the expansion of the universe is accelerating when it should be slowing down. That is when Dark Energy comes into play.

Hmm that's interesting because I'm not sure but I'm pretty positive that the expantion was created by gravity pulling everything inward, so why is everything being pulled away from each other? Maybe we are gonna turn back into a grain of sand, ha now I sound even more crazy.

I still think it would be neat to experience the Collapse / contraction of the universe... we would be dead in a fraction of a second.. but thats whats cool about it.. we would all die nearly the same time.

Not to be mean, but the universe expansion is NOT and was Never caused by Gravity.

Well since the force is still stronger than gravity, it would take the universe the same 14 billion years to completely collapse if it stopped today and began its contraction. It would be cool though.

In my opinion, the universe is infinite and there are, yet undetected, infinite dimensions to the universe.
In my opinion, science is at one of those points in history like the 15th century. The earth was flat and it was the center of the universe. Of course now, we think, "how silly" to think that.
I am not sure if "time" can be classified as a dimension. It seems logical to me, that in an infinite universe, time would be illogical. In my opinion, time is an entirely human characteristic. Since we know our time on earth is limited, we have to mark the time somehow but if we were immortal, what would be the need?
One can contemplate the origin of it all but debate seems useless. It's like trying to prove there is or is not a God. Impossible!
Scientists claim to be above religious matters but their god IS science. One only need to look at our history to see what has happened to those who challenged the main stream theories of the day. Fortunately today, scientists who dare to challenge the "established" theories, are not burned at the stake but they will find it hard to find work or funding.

Ha oops, does anyone know how it was created or is that a mystery? What actualy caused the big bang? You know what not even that, I have done a little research and everyone mentions a small particle or "tiny grain of sand" so is there an even bigger theory to how that grain of sand was created? Because I mean the big bang can't create itself so how did it start?

i personally would rather witness when our sun super nova into a red giant, now that would be a sight-till we burnt to a crisp.
