bigbud curing process.

ok so i harvested a couple weeks ago. let them hang dry in 55% humidity for 8 days. then some of the stems were snapping. so i trimmed them up real good and jarred them. now these buds were fluffy for some reason. 400w hps in a 18"x 36"x36" cab. didn't think they would be so fluffy but anyways my question is where am i at in the curing process?

i have been burping the jars for about a week and just left them for 2 days without burping, didn't see any signs of mold or sweat. today i tore some up to smoke and my fingers still get super sticky. where am i at? they cured already? need more curing time? more drying time?

oh and they smell super stanky but not so much like weed. just like a skunk smell to them almost.

smoke is a little harsh still but not bad tasting, and it burns pretty well.

Post pics, put a humidity meter in a large jar with a few buds and then colse it for 2 days, if the humidity goes up then there is still moisture in the plant, if not then it is dried to perfection

will do tonight.

never had buds that actually made my fingers sticky, this is why i am asking.
Best get used to it! Sounds like you're where I am in the curing. Just to be sure, I'm poppin' the lids everyday for a minute or two. I've several harvests going at once and thus, each jar has different needs. The oldest, like 2 weeks, I just pop and smell, so to speak . . . the newest, last night, I'll be bringing up from the cellar and turning the buds over the next few days . . . you know, un-sticking them together and such, letting the gases escape and new, fresh oxygen in. The older stopped smelling for a few days, but is now refining it's final aroma.
