Has anybody tried using this in their soil? I've heard good things but can't find any for sale. Thinking about making some. Is it just charcoal that is soaked in compost tea? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

It is and from what ive heard is its more effective if you plan on saving your soil or using the same spot of soil the next year, because nutrients get absorbed into the charcoal then watering it slowly releases over time.

I heard about biochar a few months ago from a friend of mine. I never thought that something as simple as charcoal could do so much for the soil and the environment.

Check it out. It was a great help in opening my mind to issues that affect us all.
