Breeders: what to do when you get seeds

Gday all, is there any process I need to know after you collect seeds do you dry, refrig, age, or anything special or just use them right away someone told me you have to wait a month or so so before you use them is this right if so why.

i let mine dry for about a month first.

i plant seed right away and it works for me

yeah i've sprouted em right away does seem to take a little bit longer to germ fresh ones though
