Bubble hash from bud?

Hey everybody,

Almost at my first harvest and just noticed that one of my plants seemed to hermie on me without me noticing... noticed seeds all over the place... so I kinda freaked out chopped it, trimmed it, and threw it in the freezer.

I do have bubble bags so that's why I didn't feel so bad doing it, I didn't want seeds in my buds. I checked the other plants and there don't seem to be seeds so I hope they didn't get pollinated....

Anyway, I was wondering if anybody has tips about how to make bubble hash from bud. I have some pretty big buds in there (although they have seeds.)

Should I chop it up real good or just leave it as 2-4 gram buds?

Was I right to throw it in the freezer? I was going to spend all day Friday making the hash so will it last that long?

Any help is appreciated!

I made hash with a hermie on my last run.....i ground it up froze it and then went about making hash...turned out nice

Dry it out, grind it up (not too fine),then refreeze it over night. the next day make you're hash.
If you don't dry it out and grind it a little then you won't get the glands inside the bud and yields will suffer.

look up "gumby hash"- I used it before I bought my bags and it works really well. Just takes a little time.

I just took it out ground it up and threw it back in the freezer....

I've read that you can just throw fresh bud in the freezer and not have to dry it?

Yeah, well let us know how that works out for you.

I'm making bubble hash if it matters... so water will be involved no matter what

Will let you know how it goes!

you should check out Subcools (6)videos on this forum for making bubble hash. It is very informative.

Yeah, dry it out. I recently tried to make bubble hash from 50 grams of fresh cut Crystal bud, and only got a little under 2 grams. It was damn near white hash, and totally killer, but the yield sucked ass. I did it because it got pollinated, and was curious to see the results.
