Bubbleponics

Ok, this damn site is pissing me off

this is the 3rd time ive typed the whole fucking story, if it doesnt work this time, im just gonna say fuck it

here goes, ive been studying bubbleponics for a while and it looks extremely interesting so i went out and bought a 15 gal rubbermaid, 100 whisper airpump with duel outputs, and connected 2 "t's" on both ends and connected 2 airstones to them, totaling 4 altogether. I know thats kind of overkill, but i figure the more bubbles, the better.

Ive got 4 mothers just about ready to clone and sex and a clone dome with 6 babies in it for when the setup is complete.

I didnt want to ruin my babies i worked so hard for so im using some bagseed babies to test my setup.

The whole setup is in a tent in my attic......3 300 cfl's, 3 150's, and a bunch of smaller ones scattered around. Ive got a heater timed to turn on when the lights turn off to offset the temp change. It gets below 30 in the attic, thats y its necessary for the tent and heater. When it gets over 85, i open the tent and have a fan blowing into it.

So normally the temps range btwn 60-85 and humidity btwn 25-75%

i added the nutes, ph'd the water, and started it up......

So everything was going smooth for a couple of days untill this morning i looked in the rubbermaid and it looks like someone has poured soap into it!!!! Plus theres this guey white residue all over the roots dangling in the water and it has already caused 2 to die and the rest dont look so hot either

im not too pissed tho, this is y i used cheap babies to test my setup.

But i cant use it on my good shit untill i figure out what the hell went wrong

anyone have any input? It would be greatly appreciated.

Also, any info about the rest of my setup would also help, this is my first attempt at the whole bubbleponics thing.

Ill take some pics tonight and post them tomorrow to see if maybe someone can help to recognize the problem

Also my water temp stays around 75 degrees and i have 5 holes drilled into the lid where the baskets fit snugly into

Well 60 is way to low and if that's your air temp, your water temp must be a lot lower. You want to keep the temp around the roots as even as you can. That'll kill them for sure. Dont know about the gooey white residue. What nutes are you using?

get that temp consistent..at 60 is way too cold..for the plants & the water...

Make sure your res has no openings allowing light to penetrate...

You wont need that timer and heater because during the vegetative stage you should really leave the lights on 24/7. I got a lil bit of the white foamy residue you were talking about but it went away and it didnt harm my plant. It was just a bit on the walls of my bucket. I think the bubbles agitating the solution causes that so I dont think it would have harmed your plants.
