just finished a somewhat disasterous run of la confidential, so heres the next round. ill be posting everything from here on out in this journal, just to keep it in one place. my next run will be lavender, and one more strain (i think its a power plant cross, will find out for sure later today when i pick them up.) ill be using canna coco a/b, cannazyme once per week, maybe rhizotonic. im waiting to pick up some 4x4 flood trays, and will post more pics once i get everything set up.

so heres some pics -
1-lavender at about 3 weeks
2-next batch of lavender, just went 12/12 yesterday
3-strawberries
4-new beans - TGA subcool pandora's box
5-8 are some of my bonsai. 5/6 are trident maples, 7 is a chinese elm and 8 is a blue atlas cedar.
ill take more pics of them when they leaf out in a month or so.

so. thats about it for today, feel free to post questions or comments, just dont be an asshole to me or anyone else posting in this journal. peace.

so it seems like it would take an infinite amount of energy to get a perpetual motion machine started.

just got another batch of ladies, 18 blue dream. they need to veg for another week or 2, then under the hps. ill get some pictures up tomorrow. made some pretty strong butter which made some pretty strong cookies. dont know what that has to do with anything except to explain my rambling.

im getting a couple slightly used 4x4 trays on friday, finally be able to soak the shit out of my ladies instead of carefully calculating how much to water to minimize runoff. with soil it was managable but with the coco...damn. it sucks using a shop vac to collect runoff...literally. plus they will make my room look cooler. now all i need is some mylar, maybe an led fixture for dramatic lighting...cookies must still be kicking in. pictures tomorrow.

well its been a hell of a week for me. pets to the vet for surgery, got rear-ended, some kind of stomach flu, the list goes on... its all bullshit. ive had to put the ladies on back-burner status while dealing with all the other shit. i should be picking up my trays today, keeping my fingers crossed. i promise i will get some more pictures up tonight or tomorrow morning. i know theres not many folks on here but those of you paying attention, i do apologize. the porn is on its way.

ok. so i just finished a little grow room rearranging. i built a table for my new(used) trays. dude is not quite finished with one 4x4, so im borrowing 2 2x4s until hes done. i ripped out my pond liner so i can actually do a good job cleaning the floor now. had some mildew growing under the liner, so i put a couple extra fans in there and sprayed walls and floor with bleach solution. that will have to do for now; ill be shutting down ops in july/august so ill be able to do some more intensive remodeling then. really need to get my ductwork dialed in, but i really dont want to crawl the rafters until its absolutely necessary. (im supposed to be working on my procrastination issues...ill get around to it...)

so now my setup is: 12 lavenders in 2-gal of coco at 2 or 3 weeks, 18 blue dreams in veg, a couple stragglers and testers in various stages of life, another 12 la confidentials rooting and a couple pandoras box seedlings. everything is in coco, using canna coco a/b and cannazyme. i have a co2 tank and regulator, probably get that up and running soon. no co2 controller though, i have to do guesstimating and use the co2 test syringes. kind of a pain. not sure if i want to deal with it. well see.

enough blah blah blah. heres the pictures. a few of the table and trays, then group shot of the lavenders, some green crack stragglers, a lavender at about 4 weeks, then the blue dreams getting some natural light, and then a couple seedlings. enjoy, and i will be more on top of the posting from here on.

im not sure how i managed all this time without flood tables. truly a godsend. i watered last night and it was actually fun again. just turned on the pump and soaked em instead of carefully estimating the ideal ammount of water versus minimal runoff. now i just need to install a sink to dump my waste water. i have a feeling that dumping hundreds of gallons of ph5.8 water in my yard will cause problems sooner rather than later.

right now im trying to decide if i should wait another week or 2 to throw my blue dreams into flower or just do it now to get both lights on the same harvest cycle. im thinking about doing an sog grow next, and switching out both hps with mh for vegging them. i have to shut down in july/aug cuz its just way too hot around here and i refuse to spend $500/month on a/c for the growroom alone. (that $500 is just a/c, not lights, fans, etc...)

the pandoras box seedlings are really starting to take off too. they didnt seem to like the coco at first, but theyve really grabbed hold and are doing their thing. still waiting for my other seed order. its been 5.5 weeks since they said they shipped em. dont think theyll get here...attitude only took nine days. ill be using them for my next purchase for sure.

the lavenders are showing lots of bud sites right now. about 2.5 weeks into flower and looking good. i trimmed the lower branches to focus growth on top. usually i try to get more uniformly sized nuggets but i need bag appeal now, as this state is fucked up full o weed right now. so if the people want colas, i can get em colas.

more pictures tomorrow, not that anyone cares about my journal anymore...

coco is boring. especially since i got the trays. 15mls/gal A, 15mls/gal B, ph down to 5.8. water til it runs off. repeat next day. every third day, 9mls/gal cannazyme no ph adjustment, water till runoff. dump runoff buckets into 55 gal drum outside for houseplants/garden, after raising ph to about 7 with lime and watered down to 50% strength. im going to keep handwatering, if i go to drip i'll never go out there...

i took a bunch of cuttings of j1 and blue dream today, should be ready to flower just around the time im harvesting the lavender.

blue dreams are looking good, they'll go into flower in another week or so and the lavenders are also really filling out. its quite the difference from the la confidential, really stretchy, light green and thin-leaved.

the lavenders are about 2.5 weeks in. theyre supposed to go for 60 days, but nine weeks seems to be more like it. i really like to smoke the sativas, but i'll be the first to admit that i'm too impatient to wait more than 9 weeks. supposed to be getting some seeds for a crazy 13 week strain from a frend. its got a lot of african sativa in it. thats just a long time and i have serious commitment issues.

not much to say today. potted up some blue dreams and threw them into 12/12. fed/watered as usual. finally got my environent contoller back. they took their sweet time with it, but its done now.

got a few pictures. group shot of lavenders at 17 days of 12/12, then two of the tops of the lavenders. then theres a green crack straggler, has about 1 week left. then another lavender straggler at week 4, and a shot of one of the tops. next is the next batch, blue dream, just put under 12/12 today. last one is the babies, pandora's box.

looks like the blue dreams have a bit of a mg deficiency. no pictures, but they have rust colored patches on lower leaves, the worst patches have small spots eventually turning to brown. i'm going to foliar feed with some epsom salts tomorrow before lighs on, and start adding a little cal-mag to the a/b. its strange that its only happened on the little ones, but i guess it's because they are growing pretty aggressively still.
the lavenders are filling in nicely, i'll get some pictures up next time i update.

epsom salts seem to have stopped the discoloration of the leaves on my blue dreams. i'll be adding about 1/4 tsp per gal every other feeding for a week or two, then i'll back off and see what happens. i am also noticing very slight yellowing on the leaf tips of about half the girls, so i'll be cutting the a/b down to 10ml/gal as well.
guess i lied about the pictures too. looks like it will be tomorrow.

either the epsom salts worked or the pot fairy sprinkled a little magic on the girls, because they're looking good again. my theory is that they just grew explosively into the coco before it had a chance to pick up enough nutes. i'll try charging the coco with some cal-mag before planting next time. i got a new multi function tester yesterday (ph, tds, ec). cool tool. push button calibration is perfect for the impatient, such as myself. unfortunately, now i can see how bad my city water is. straight out of the tap is about 350 ppm tds, after my 3-stage filter, its just over 200. i should probably get a filter for the drinking water too...

i have just a couple pictures today, taken after lights on, so they are definitely not of the highest quality. first is the lavenders, at day 28 or 29 of flower. they really stretched on me, and after building the tables a couple weeks ago, i find myself running out of head room. i may have to chop a couple inches off the table legs... second picture is the blue dreams, at 12 days in flower. last is a free bean i got, rocklock by dna. its about 2 weeks old, but every time i touch it, it lets off a cloud of heavenly stink. i'll give it another couple of weeks in veg and then flip the switch on her. she's feminized, and i dont like the idea of feminized genetics, so i won't be taking cuttings. too bad, cuz she's a pretty little girl.

the last picture is of my party cup grow. i had no idea you could get that much plant in such a small cup. i'm thinking about trying an SOG-style run using the same cups.
