Cabinet dimensions

I'm 26 days into my first grow. I have 3 plants growing in soil in a closet under 5 43w CFLs, a mix of 5000k and 2700k. All three of the plants are about 8" tall at this point and I'm about to build a cabinet to flower them in as the space they're in right now won't be 100% light tight once I switch to 12/12. I'm looking for some guidance on the dimensions for my box. I was thinking about building a box 3'Wx2'Dx4'H. Do you think this will be sufficient? I don't expect to grow monsters here but I want to be sure that I'm giving them enough space. Also, would two 120mm PC fans be sufficient for ventilation? I'm planning on building some sort of diy carbon filter for odor control and putting it on the exhaust fan. Thanks!

that space should be sufficient for up to 4 plants. check out my grow in my sig. my box dimensions are very similar to what youre looking to do. whats the cfm rating on those 120mm fans? the higher the cfm the more air flow you will have and the better you will be able to control your temps. keep in mind that the air temp outside the box must be lower that the temp inside the box or good ventilation will not help to regulate temps. good luck.
