Can a stirring hot plate be used in place of a Magic Butter Machine?

So I was thinking of something like below and was wondering if this could be used instead of the Butter Machine?
I saw an ad for a Levo II infusion machine, not a machine for weed, but it uses magnetic stirring as well.

I was wanting to use it to make canna tinctures not butter.

What did you end up doing? That magnetic stirrer looks interesting

to make a great magnetic stirrer, just use an old pc fan with neodynium magnets glued to the fan vanes.then just build a surround for the fan and place a piece of plastic over it to make a platform to stand your flask on
