Can all seeds grow without nutes for 3 weeks?

I have grown before not real experienced like a whole lot of y'all out there. Man this site is amazing with all the knowledge on here. Thank you for allowing me to join. That being said, I do have a question about starting seeds. Is it true that seeds can go 3 weeks without any kind of nutes? I always put diluted nutes in( mainly GH )after about 1 or 2 weeks. So, if that's true I should be able to grow in absolutely pure perlite for 3 weeks right?

No, they will need some food. Unless grown in soil like Fox Farms Ocean Grow or something with a food supply

soon as your cotyledons start dieing you'd better be thinking a feeding.

Thanks Diet Coke, I have them in exactly that same soil. I had a hard time believing that too. BTW I am TRYING to grow some cheap seeds I got from Herbies KC 45 Auto for 17.00 for 10. I am just getting back into growing right now after not finding anything decent out there anymore. So.. I want start cheap to see how it goes. if it goes well I will move on to more reliable more expensive stock in the future. Many Blessings

If your in the Fox Farm soil you'll be good to go for about 3 weeks until you have to think about feeding.
I thought you meant no nutrients at all in your growing medium.
Look at your leafs when they start losing there green a little bit you should think about feeding.

Well I did originally ask that question so your right, but I received great answers to my question so thank you again.

you can get about 2-3 weeks with miracle grow perlite its not inert
but the 2-3 weeks is entry level rule of thumb soil grow or soil soilless mix

keeps us updated with the kc-45 i am on my first run of them now still seedling stage but going to put some fem pollen back from my AKR to hopefully pollinate the best looking one
