if i plant around 30 outdoor, northern lights seeds, considering only 80% of them will be female? am i expecting too much? should i plant more? or will i get my 40 pounds?
can i expect 40 pounds?

40 pounds is a shitload of herb. Who says 80% will be female btw?
I agree with Cyproz...a 1/4 lb per plant would be pretty good. You can buy seeds that produce HUGE plants and then get more...
The freebies from Gypsy Seedboutique are Mazar-i-sharif...anyhoot they are supposed to get 13 feet tall if outdoors in good conditions. I'd imagine they get more than 1/4 lb per plant.

well considering 50% will be male/female ratio. if you can have a perfect growing season, keep bugs and animals from eating them. if you have to ask then i would say no.

are you guys talking about indoor growing or outdoor? i mean outdoors do grow bigger and heavier. ive read peeps on this board who regularly grew around a pound per plant, im not sure if their telling the truth or not, but im deffinately trying to be optimistic considering its my first grow.

its not impossible but most huge yielding strains are of medium to low quality. it all depends on location hours of direct sunlight root size ferts/supps etc.. there is no definitive answer on this one. im gonna say no you will not get 40 pounds dry. i assume you meant dry weight.

another consideration is will you be hands on the whole grow topping killing pests using quality ferts. or is this a guerilla grow. again first grow outdoor no 40's pushing it imo. plants can get very big fast under the limitless lumens and perfect spectrum of the sun i hope it goes well. the first grow is the most fun by far.

You should definitely expect 40lbs. ...if you plan on growing 40lbs.

yes there are people who grow pounds per plants and even 2 pounds per plant but those people have been growin outdoors for years upon years. it takes alot of experience and knowledge to get even a half pound off a plant. yea they will be bigger outside but there are way more variables to consider, like where you live, will it rain alot, a little rain, ferts, bugs, animals like deers, tons of stuff to consider. but yes you can get more yield outside easier then indoors. but indoors its way more controlled

It would appear you're a first time grower. My advice is to set the bar low. You're naturally going to focus most of your energy on learning rather than actual growing.

the place that sells seeds, the lady told me that their feminized seeds does not guarantee over 80 female seeds, i dont knw how or why, but thats what she said.

I highly doubt you will get even half that amount from northern lights. Even if you started from clone, lived in your patch and watered them every morning and sang them a bedtime song at night. Your gonna need to keep diggin holes if you want to hit the 40lb mark. Whats with 40lbs anyway?? Where did that number come from?? Good luck with your adventure.
