my last two plants died from what i think was over heat :/, the top leaves curled up on ethier side and dried up. i was using a 400 watt dual spectrum light, and the temps was reaching 40 degrees every night., i was thinking about buying a 300 watt cfl light to replace it? will this inprove the temp and be better for me? please give me your input

does that work mate? because its getting well too hot in my grow space :/ thats why i was considering changing lights

realy? because im having alot of trouble with heat. i was ethier gna get a cfl growing bulb like a 250, or buy a bigger fan to blow directly onto the light because i have nowher to exhaust the heat??

if your using anything higher than a 250w bulb, especially HPS bulbs your going to want some proper ventilation going.

i get away with using a 250w MH through veg and then a 400 w HPS through flower with a big fan blowing in the room from the outside, stays perfect.

If you live in a warmer place than the UK .. which most places are then that will be the problem
