Can we grow weed from MARS? (28h light cycle)

Do you think 4 hours more a day makes a difference?

Some years ago I grew DWC HPS Master Kush with a light cycle of 28hrs using a digital 12-stepped timer (week days in it). Infact the timer was really cheap and good. It carried up to 2x600W HPS ignition, was 16A. (I just checked and that type is still being produced.)

At the time I was kinda just growing without any environmental monitoring, always high EC and stressed plants. I didn't take much notes on the vegetative period (20-8.) but saw a great difference in flowering structure and time, using 16/12. She flowered for 89 days and I've never seen such difference at inflorescence size! I didn't weigh the yield but it was close to double the mass comparing to 12/12 Master Kush. It was a clone. But not too much can be extracted from that grow since the control was so poor.

I'm certainly going to do more testing on the 28 hour cycle in the future, when I have bigger appartment to put one more tent. Or if I'd build a loftbed I'd have the extra room for about 120cm tent. Lots of things to test.. for example:
different light spectrums, light cycle combinations, feeding, senescence. Then later maybe such as epigenetics and so on.

I'm really interested about this too now that I'm better at growing and understanding the physics. Plus that we have cool new lights to play with!

Any input is welcome!
