Can you transplant after they start to flower?

I bought a few autos, should have read a little more first. It seems like the recommended approach is to germinate in the container you intend on finishing in. I didn't do this and germinated in solo cups where they have been for about five weeks or so. I was planning on moving them into a new container sooner but got busy...today I noticed a few of them that are started to show the very early signs of flowering. They are still kinda short which is one of the reasons I was tying to let them get some height before moving. So, what's the deal on up potting autos ..especially after they are showing the very early stages of flowering? Will they continue to grow in height and size as they flower?

Are autos, in general, just smaller than photo's?

Pictures help but I’ve had plants root out containers once flower hits. They won’t fill a 3 gallon pot but will still root into a larger pot.

The cut off time seems to be when the hairs on the buds begin to brown. Really don’t root much after that ime.

Depends… I’ve had ones topped and super cropped that still got 4-5ft high after 3 weeks veg. They can grow at a very impressive rate but it’s more strain dependent. Something with high sativa will certainly help

Nah not so much. For me they always flower around 3-4 week mark regardless of pot size.

There are a few autos about with extended veg times. This little auto cup in soil not coco got to 9 weeks of veg before flower! Could’ve trained that into a beast if I transplanted it

Sorry, here are the pics. I wanted to put these in a 1 or 2 gallon bucket but they have just started the early stages of flower. My mistake as I didn't understand the caveats of autos better..I thought they get a little bigger by now and I'd simple replant.

Well 5 weeks is relevant cause most of mine in cups are properly budding by then. Yours are in veg stage more so you may be able to transplant to a 3 gallon and reap the rewards. In the future try transplanting earlier or germinate in the final container

I'm sure what you mean by "in veg" since they have flowers starting. I thought once they start flowering they are in flowering. Can you elaborate more on what you're saying please? I sounds like you might be stating they are kinda still in veg?

They still root very well at this stage is what I’m saying. Veg/stretch/flower. Your plants look as if they are just hitting stretch. If u had developing buds probably too late.

I typically transplant around 12-15 days in solo cups to final container
