Can you use Hydroponic nutrients for soil garden??

Hey guys,
This is my first time using a nutrients system, so I purchased FoxFarms "Big Bloom" "Tiger Bloom" and "Grow Big". My question is I accidently bought the FoxFarm Nutrient Trio-Hydro Formula , instead of the FoxFarm Nutrient Trio-Soil Formula. I was wondering if I could still use the Hydro formula? They seem like they are the same thing, but could any one help me out with this???? :confused:

I asked GH this and they said no prob.

Now my thoughts/concerns are pH. Most hydro nutes are buffered for the lower pH. (aka will migrate back towards the 5.x) I'd also think that some extra lime to the soil can help make up for this. (going to work on sciencing this out better)

i have a question. i brought the 3 part flora series by general hydroponics im growing in soil so i would like to know if i can use this and how for it says to add all three parts but i assume that for soil it would be different. thak you for your help

Seems like you would want to just take it back, and get the right stuff. I mean maybe it wont really matter, but why take a chance? Why make more guess work out of an already question laden subject. If it was mail order then I kind of see the point. But if it was me, I'd go buy the stuff for soil, and if you cant just run up and return it, sell the hydro stuff on ebay. Or just switch, and grow hydro.

I like everything to be correct for my setup so I can eliminate too many extra variables, obviously the products are different, otherwise why would they be in different bottles. The only thing specifically made for hydro and soil separately by fox farm I believe is GROW BIG. Big bloom and Tigerbloom are for BOTH. The hydro Grow big is in a light blue bottle the soil grow big is in a darker green bottle.

Am I not correct about that ??

Its difficult enough to become a GREAT grower when you HAVE all the right tools

I was wondering kind of the same thing i have advanced nutrients grow mico bloom and i was wondering can i use it for my outdoor plants in soil?

GH Hydro works great in soil... I use it and my plants are blossoming... I also use the flora nectar...

Thats in soil... now my hydro uses it as well... I use it nearly just as directed... Except at first with the plants I cut it down a bit and work up in increments till the plants becomes use to a normal schedule...

am not taking this back at all... lol I have the right stuff... and its at great prices compared to a lot of other stuff out there... although the new advanced nutrient additive looks pretty friggin good... It just came out so most hydro stores are not stocked up yet... I will get it next cycle...

My next grow will be a SOG of E.F.P. (Electric Fruit Punch)... yey!!! lol

Thes pictures are in SOIL using GH Hydro... lol I am almost thinking my soil gh hydro flora plants are doing better then my actual hydro plants... lol So you tell me? hahah keep it!

Yo ppl i know dis is one late reply to dis thread but i dont rely know how to use this thing. I cant find out how to post a new thread coz i i recently jus started comin online in ages, anyway i have a similar prob to PWILSON that started dis thread and dat is dat i bought FOX FARM GROW BIG for HYDROPONIC PLANT FOOD accidently instead for SOIL, da N-P-K on the hydro bottle which i bought is 3-2-6 and da one i shulda got is 6-4-4 can dis product still be used for soil?
The directions for a 1 gal bucket is 2 teaspoons per gallon and dat says for recirculating systems.

U can use all hydro nutes on soil unless your growing organically you wil be using chem nutes no matter wot...

I've used FF soil and hydro nutes, the biggest dif I found was the soil nutes sounded more "chunky" when I shook up the bottles. I think I read in FF faqs that the hydro nutes were pretty much just better filtered to remove solids but I do smoke a lot so Just my 2¢. ;)

Fox farm totally blows, did my last grow with them and made previously stinky strains smell dull and I have read others say the same thing. I wouldnt have known but I have grown the strains from clones and the only difference was I tried FF nutes -beware....
