Careers and drug testing

What careers are there that don't drug test for the most part? I'm in college and wanting to get a nursing degree, but, that sounds like almost guaranteed drug testing in the future. I love bud and don't want to have to give it up if it isn't legalized in the next 4-5 years. Maybe I'm seriously jumping the gun here, but I would guess most of you older folks have been smoking for quite some time since you were my age or younger and I don't see myself giving it up willingly. I want to do something lucrative and make a good living. Maybe a general psychology or business degree would be versatile and give me lots of options. Any tips?

Yes, I'm in America... and also in a really conservative state. Drug testing is pretty common for jobs higher than pizza delivery. You could pretty much classify my dad as a professional smoker, and look where that got him. He has never held a real job, filed for bankruptcy, has no credit, borrows money from his mother all the time. It's really kinda sad. I'm not gonna end up like that.

I have friends in the nursig field, and they smoke all the time, sometimes they worry about something happening at work and having to find another job, and this means being tested.
What I am trying to say is that they are more worried about getting fire over something (besides herb) that getting randomly tested. Nurses make good bank.

That they do, partly why I want to be one, as well as security. That's good to hear. thanks.

Lucky you. My last job before i decided to go to college was like that. Companies shouldn't drug test, they should use the coherence/skill tests that NASA and the like use. It shouldn't matter what you do on your own time as long as it doesn't affect your work time.
