Well I am new to this and have a question. Is worm casting tea ok for new sprouts? I was thinking of brewing a tea with 4 tablespoons of 1-0-0 castings. Would this hurt the little ones?bongsmilie

Aerate it for 24hrs with airstone and pump, if you have other house plants feed them too. 4 tablespoons of 1-0-0 castings with a 1/2 gallon or more of water will not hurt. Your correct that seedlings need little or no added nutrients, but your soil that you are using could use the microbial activity to start to develop healthy roots.

Thank for the replies everyone. Now I need to find out about my tap water. I don't know if chlorine or chloramine is used.

The best way to tell is to call your water dept of your town/city. Another way to tell is that chloramine turns has a green tint when you fill a white 5 gallon bucket with water. If the water has a green tint, it has chloramine in it. If it has a blue tint, then it either has chorline in it or it is pure h2o.
