cfl florescent tubes

first time thread on my first grow i am using cfl flourescent tubes 2 40 watt warm white heat emission bulbs and 2 40 watt cool white. i heard on a web site that warm white bulbs are good for making buds dense and and cool white is making the bud stretch.:bigjoint: i will post pictures shortly. also one of my lights took a shit on me so time to go to wall-mart and get my ten dollar light fixtures.

Those lights are o.k for veg , but I dont think you will get much farther without more light . but GL

ok noted i have some things i can raise them up and i will take care of the potting monday when i get paid.
i heard for fluorescent should be about 2-4 inches from the light but i found it would wilt the top leaves.
also i was wandering what is better a dark green plant or a light green plant? my buddies plants are light green and mine are dark and we used the same seeds
i will find out dimensions of my closet next time lights are on.

bmw2313 thoes aren't CFLs thoes are (please correct me if I am wrong but thoes look like T5 flor tube lights) CFLs are compact flor. lights

snow tiger i am quite sure they are fluorescent also. i am hoping to sea of green them so how much larger should the pots i transplant them be? oh i was away in the moutians for a day or so and omg the plants grew tall and thick over night i will try to take a few photos soon

no there is no fan but the bulbs do not get hot maybe a little warm but nothing to burn the plants. i am going to get a flowering suppliment soon any suggestions guys?

I would put a small fan on them blowing very lightly so that it helps strengthen their stalks before flowering because if you flower them and the buds become to big then will start to lean / bend and possible even brake so before flowering deff have a fan on them:weed:

Looking okay, lil stretched but that won't be a problem. If you can get to a hydro shop pick up some fix farm big bloom. Start using it now at about 1/8 concentration. If you MUST use MG you can use 1/10 of the mix and mix that with watering every 24-30 days..if soon after you add your nutes and your leave turn yellow, flush the pot out with clean water and let the plant rebuild.
You will find the sex out when you go into yor 12/12 stage. You watch for seed sacks, for males. Don't panic they dont pollenate quickly, just rather quickly so you have time to find the sex within 3dys of seed "poping"
Look into LST and toping you will find them good readings.
