Cheap Soiless Mix

Hey there Ive posted a couple times in the main indoor grow forum but sense Ive decided to go with a rubbermaid cfl growbox for my first grow I figured I might as well post in her from now on.

I got most of the supplies I need to make my veg and flowering boxes including cfls,Nirvana WW seeds,socket adapters and so on but I did underestimate my need for one thing,soil.

So I realized I didn't buy enough damn foxfarm soil and as much as Id like to buy some more online its expensive and I'm running low on money so I was thinking of buying some soil from my local hardware store but on doing research I've found they pretty much all suck so instead how about a soilless mix!

I'm thinking one part perlite,one part pete moss,and one part shroom compost or vermiculture.

My question is how should I go about this? Veg in that mix then flower in foxfarm or can I mix it with foxfarm and use it all through the grow?

Mind you I am pretty blazed but any way you do it should work personally I'd add coir to your soilless mix though, any way you do it will work you will just have to adjust a wii bit as far as a feeding is concerned.

Would it be alright to mix it with fox farm?

I never just use fox farm, i cut it with pro mix. Pro mix is landscape grade gardening soil. it has no nutes and is really just a medium, perfect for cutting something as over nuted like fire fox ocean forest. I also add bone meal, blood meal, and compost i make myself. soil can be expensive bro but imo its the soil that starts a good crop. ps just dont fucking use miricale grow that shit is retarded.

If you read my first post Ive done a bit of research and i was thinking about a soilless mix because most if not all of the common potting soil available in a hardware store sucks but you say pro mix huh? Is it common enough to pick up at my local hardware store and how much is it?

I pay between 30 and 35 bucks for 3.8 cu. ft. compressed bail. Good stuff but no nutes.
