I would wait to put a clone outdoors until we are near the solstice. Depending on the light cycle it was maintained on before going outdoors, it might begin to flower immediately when it goes outdoors, unless you give it supplemental light during the dark period to prevent flowering.
If you put it out in April/May timeframe. It will most likely start to flower right away, then reveg, grow some, and proper flower in late summer/fall. The reveg could be long and slow depending on the genetics.
