Cloning Q's and A's

Hello

I recently took my first batch of cuttings. I have propagated various other plants but not mj. I have posted some pics.

I am on day 7, no roots, some stems seem reluctant to be pulled from their rockwool, some come right up. Followed all the right steps and used MG Rooting Hormone.

Nothing really seems to be happening...am I just impatient? lol...

I wouldn't say "just", but yes haha. You're gonna want to give it two weeks before you start getting antsy. Pulling them back out to check is a horrible thing, stop that.
Just make sure conditions are right (seems like you are) and give it TIME. They'll let you know hen they're ready by growing upward. No need to look at the roots.

Dont touch them at all until you can see some roots coming out.

Id also grab a bag of perlite because its super cheap and throw that in the cloning tray after you take your clones and set them in there.

Itll help any roots that grow out to have something to hold onto and get water from as well as provide a medium that can be warmed with a clone mat.

Besides that i can suggest clipping the tips off your leaves. I go about half way down the leaf and snip.

My clones usually root in 7-10 days depending on the strain.

Mine take about 3 weeks to root without any root gel.
