cloning question?

i am gonna top my one month old girl and want to use that cutting as a clone to determine the gender but i ave no cloning gel until 2 weeks but i need to top to keep plants short and i dont want the cutting to be a waste of cut. my question is if there is anything i could use other than the cloning gel to see what happens?
 
you could try honey,,I have been told that it works...just use a real little amount
 
putting them in some water is the most baisic way to do it hit and miss though so id do alot, never heard of honey b4 ill have to add that to my expirament list..
 
You can make a cloning solution out of boiled willow tree branches... Not as effective as clonex and olivias though... in my opinion. also, cloning the top of the plant might not get you good results... i've never had much luck cloning a top, usually the branches are what work best for me.

yeah clonex tis what i use very good shit expensive tho
 
This is what I do to tell the sex of the plant.(1)sprout um in jiffy pellets.(2)transplant them to 16oz. plastic party cups.(3)Feed them miracle grow liquid houseplant food.(4)Once they grow to 4-5 inches tall,I trim 1/2 of the main shoot with sissors,and give them 12/12 light schedule.(5)In 7-10 days, they should show their sex.(6)I transplant,with a drink of superthrive and of course, miracle grow liquid houseplant food,back to 18/6 light schedule.

And how many times have you successfully done that?
 
i tried detemining sex with clones but my mothers showed with preflowers before the clones did shit i think its just more simple to wait for preflowers
