co2 spray for leaves?

Hello, I saw somewhere that someone used co2, put it in a spray bottle and sprayed his leaves (the bottom I think), with the lights off for about 15 min during and after.
I was wondering if this is a good thing to do, since I read somewhere else that water left on the leaves will block absorption of the lights and will ruin the chances of the plant being able to use the chlorophyll.
Any thoughts on this?
I have a sodastream carbonation system for soda, was wondering if there was any truth in this.

I may be wrong but, I believe Co2 is compressed and cannot be put in a spray bottle. Co2 is good for your plants inside if you have a compressed co2 container and a proper distributing system for it. If they are outside they get enough co2 from the environment.

Outdoor air actually contains less co2 than indoor air. As far as spraying the leaves I don't know that you would benefit much from that, co2 has to be maintained at a certain ppm to have any affect, then other room environment things have to be met. The room also has to be sealed.
Your plants would benefit from you going in the room and sitting and breathing for a few hours more than a spray like you're talking about.
And at lights out it's kill the co2 , plants use o2 at night.

Co2 is used up by the stomata(lungs) of the underside of the leaf, you might have watched a video while a guy was foilar feeding.... I concur with above poster....
