So I've had this laying around for awhile, not sure why I havnn't done it yet.. Koolatron1.png I had plans to turn this fridge into a super-micro grow also but never got around to it.Koolatron2.jpg

It consists of a fan, and some kind of powred heatsink that makes the aluminum block (detatchable) get pretty cold fast.

Now it's a matter of getting it attatched to the res... somehow.. any ideas?
I'm thinking of having it on atleast when the circulation pump comes on, whick might help if i have to re-rout water to the heatsink. If it works good I could just leavet he pump on 24/7. It's a cheapo 80gph pump.

Don't waste your time with Peltier coolers. I used an aquarium chiller and a 50 litre cool box as a reservoir. Two pumps in the res, one to pump water to the chiller (which then goes back into the res) and the second pump to push the chilled water through a computer cooling radiator that is sandwiched between two intake fans. Quite effective at cooling down the intake air.

Water chillers.....I have used good ones and multiple smaller ones. A larger one will do the trick but sitting and thinking endless hours this is my thought. Keeping things cool prevents good and bad bennies from growing so I would lean more on either sterile or not. If using H202 warmer temps dont have a chance to cause root rot anyway. So I have gone away from the chiller (maybe clean water ice bottles during peak temps) still it's another layer of protection keeping temps down so if you have the chiller go for it
