Coco brick says nutrient/ph balanced?

I'm trying out some different coco, previously it's been canna ready to use out the bag.
On the coco brick the label says it's nutrient and ph balanced? I get the ph but nutrient balanced seems odd for coco it's inert, I'm thinking it's maybe referring to the buffering with nutrient balanced, does that sound right?

when you soak it, check the EC of the soak water, it will tell you a lot about how it was prepared. Most cal nit buffered coco is around .8 to 1 EC, it's almost never lower than that, but can be MUCH higher, which is when you know you need to flush and re-buffer it.

If i do need to wash it clean what would I add to re buffer it, idk anything about coco bricks I've only used it from the bag previously.

Cheers!

I perforated a corner and put it into a basin of warm water left and it 40 minutes, I then collected a sample by squeezing some back out its reading 0.2 ec, I'm happy enough with that.

I've seen it mentioned a number of times that people rinse their coco with calcium and magnesium (calmag)

I don't need calmag I'm not sure if I should rinse it or not, I think the link suggests yes, but does that apply to me who does require it?

I tried calmag on a plant a few months back and it didn't like, I got a yellowing around the leaf edges using 0.2.

I can grasp bits and pieces in that link but some of it is like a foreign language to me, I'll read it a few more times and see if it sinks in, I think it's saying that the cec sites need filling but how do I know if it's required.
If feed it they'll take what they need?

I think I understand the bit about him adding calcium/magnesium which didn't reflect in the drain, presumably the coco was holding on to it for that couple of months until the cec sites were full to capacity.

Edit... I say I don't need calmag, what I mean is that I don't need it using canna coco + a and b
