Coco Loco stressing me out!?!

Nooby here,
This stuff has me stressed out.
Plants are ab3 weeks old. Planted 21 seeds but only got 13 to germinate. Crop Kings Blue cookies 1 out of 7? The rest are Haze Exteme and Green Crack. GC & cookies were feminized seeds. After reading a billion threads on this coco loco I’ve come to the conclusion I was treating things to much like a plain coco grow and over watering.
-ph 5.8-6.0 with distilled water.
Since Saturday I’ve only been watering once every 3 days with 1/4 strength silicate and Cal-Mag ph’Ed.
-Today they got their first feeding with 1/4 strength General Hydroponics base nutes.
First silicate, let that sit for an hour then added the CalMag. Next the micro, grow & bloom. Checked the ppm, think it was at 560ish. The PH was spot on at 5.9 so didn’t mess with that. Lastly I added Rapid Start.
-I have a little 3 gallon jug thingy with an air stone running that I used to mix everything in. I use a solo cup to water around the edges of my planted solo cups. Planted cups have drainage holes on the bottom I saw a video of a guy using a lighter on the bottom edges & that worked awesome. I also used a paper clip & pokes some holes in the sides thinking it might help dry the medium a little faster. So far no signs of mold or fungus nats.
-Still under the T5 between 6-12” from the top of my plants. I’ll wait till I transplant to 1gl pot to turn on my California Lightworks 1100. I had one lady pop with only 1 starter leaf and she hasn’t grown much in 2weeks?? Is she a hermy? I’ve got another one with that looks way different. She has super long skinny leafs compared to the rest. It’s a Haze Extreme but looks different than the other. Those aren’t feminized so maybe that’s a male or possibly the only female from that bunch?
-The rest seem to be doing ok other than the fact I got stoned and accidentally dropped 2 cups while watering... Grr! They were a bit stretchy anyway so I planted them a bit lower in the cup before water/feed so hopefully I didn’t damage any of the roots. Guess I’ll have something else to worry about now ha ha! On the bright side of that I was able to get a good look at the root structure & we are a couple weeks from any transplanting unless things take off.
-This is my first grow obviously. I’m 42 years old and have been wanting to do that since I was 16 so nerves and excitement all bundled in one but don’t want to screw anything up either. So here’s where my environment has been at since I started. Please if you have any advice or tips I’m all ears.
— 4x8 tent with temperature between 69 lowest and 85 high.
Humidity 40 - 60%
I also have a Co2 bag but not sure if I should be using it now or if that’s a veg/flower thing?

Hi Boone,
I'll make a few comments. It must be rough being a noob. I see you are being quite fastidious in your details...which some might even say is over-tending. Common among noobs.

Not sure why your germ rate is so poor. I usually do OK but recently had some old weak seeds that didn't germ well. Seems unlikely that all your seeds had issues. More likely your technique could use improvement.

On the one you thought might be a herm. Nope...that's a bloom thing.

You mentioned a ppm of almost 600 for small plants. I use maxi-bloom and clmag at around 300 ppm for plants that size. But yours seem to be handling it.

Oh, and when writing a post...use paragraphs to make it easier to read. Many people won't bother reading a long unbroken diatribe.
JD

PS Your new improved watering style sounds good...and plants really look ok.

Common confusion.....Coco Loco. Just the name F's people up. It's considered soil, as you now know.
Do you want to grow in soil? or coco?
Either way, do your homework so you know how to best proceed.

I like to put cups thru a few moist/dry cycles to promote root growth. Almost bone dry. Not too wet.

Coco college.

Soil college.
Nothing to offer, I'm a soil dummy.

I loved coco loco when I was running it. I cut it with more perlite. No issues.
600 ppm of Maxibloom,Jack's Hydro +Calnit and Megacrop from seedling to flower were nutes ran when I used it.

Thanks for all the advice & fast response everyone! All good points and noted.

I wanted something like a super soil. Benefits of hydro with the coco but keeping the taste you get from soil. I thought this loco was a hybrid of sorts? JohnDee is probably right on the over tending. Think I’ll back off on a few things for sure ad let the plants tell me what they need or don’t for that matter.

Thanks again, I’m shocked how fast you’ve all responded with great advice. There’s so many things out there on the ol interweb telling me do this then another site saying the opposite. You made me a believer in rollitup
