complete newb no experience what so ever, 1st grow in under a month is this good?

hi this is my 1st ever grow ever,

strain im looking at growing is 2 candy kush auto and 2 afghan kush ryders, both auto flowers.

i am using a 1,2m x 1,2m x 2,0m grow tent homebox or something,

600w hps dual spectrum sunmaster with reflector

standard carbon filter 5"

ram intake fan 5"

ratchet clamps

thermostat

humidity monitor

1 medium size fan,

cant think of anything else ive missed but you get the idea of the equipment im using.

im struggling on what im going to use as a medium, i know i want to grow autoflowers as the time period between each harvest is more convenient for me.
i originally was going to use coco coir but ive heard that its more complicating for my 1st grow and that i should use soil but now i have the problem of switching soils between veg and flowering because if i was to use a note rich soil as its an auto flower it would potentially burn it because they are nute sensitive. where as coco i wouldnt need to worry about that as there is no nutes in there and i need to add them all myself? which i find most confusing.. using the nutes.
i was going to use with coco coir canna a + b with canna rhizotonic cannazym canna boost too but i dont have a clue about what amounts to give it.
where as if i used soil and chose a soil that has the right ph consistency then i wont need to worry about the veg nutes and ill just give it ph'ed as the nutes in the soil should carry it into flower where then i add the bloom nutes and ph'ed water. and leave a week or 2 of giving it just ph'ed water to flush out the chemicals?

please help me out, i hope that even makes sense... sorry if it doesnt

peace!!

everything sounds good....i would use MANNA MIX soil....it has very little nutes in it.....try house and garden nutes, they are much more simple to use...grow a b and Bloom a b use equal parts. if you have autoflowers then go half strength on any nutes to see if they react bad or good.

I make a mix of cheap potting soil (no nutes added) ~20%, peat moss ~30%, perlite ~ 30% and vermicualite ~ 20%. Then I throw in some worm casings and 2 oz of lime to help regulate PH.

I am using dyna-gro this grow and very happy so far. Gave them nothing the first week or so, then went to 25% strength the next week. Now on week three I fed today with 50% of the recommended (and FIMd them today). Personally, I'd much rather have control of the nutes so I can adjust based on how hte plants are doing. They do talk to you and you can tell when they are happy. With pre-nuted soil you lose some of that control and I knwo that I would be wondering, are the nutes that came with gone yet so I can start feeding...First grow are high activity, you become infatuated with it. So by me being allowed to participate by slowly ratcheting up the nutes, watching my girls, etc, I feel better and am less likely to do something stupid.

Look at this girl (Critical Yumboldt), germinated in paper towels. Went into solo cup with MG seed starter around 3/25. Into her final pot with the medium formula above on 4/1. Can't you tell she's happy :-)

a vermiculite mixture is best. i put 2 liters of assorted nutrients i got from sannie, (bat guano, palm tree ash, etc.), into a 50 pound vermiculite bag, and mine did really well. also mixing perlite and coco coir into the mix can help with water retention, aeration, and drainage.

i dont think that four autoflowers are gonna take up a 4x4 tent. id prolly go with a regular variety plant.

no phing, you get a vegan organic line up minus the biomarine. biothrive is a vegan organic plant based base nutrient, bioroot is like rhizotonic for the rhizosphere, bioweed is pure ascophyllum nodosum, biobud is your plant protein hydrosolyte bloom booster, cal mag is a genuine good but weak, i used diamond black(humic/fulvic) once a week until week 4 of flowering. i would deffinatly suggest getting the subcultures, or great white is fine aswell. i know people say this line is not organic but it is, ive done the research if you look up all of its chemical salts that minerals are taken from are organic aswell as its plant based macros. and sunshine advanced X4 is perfectly designed for general organics aswell. if you see that you need a P-K booster i would suggest technaflora soluable seaweed 1-1-16, and humboldt bloom 0-10-0. goodluck man = )

thanks for the advice everybody ive heard that BnQ multi purpose is ok to take the seedlings to a week maybe more (im from the uk) then depending of how far into veg determines weather or not i should use veg nutes though i may use a very light vegging mix starting week 2 so it has some boost in yield? though i seriously need to find a nute that i can add to the water then feed to the soil/plants i think that would be the easiest way personally. im not the sharpest tool in the box you see haha
